What we do

Moorditj Kaartdijin Bidi is a growing training platform dedicated to strengthening capability across the health, community and social services sectors. Led by Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation (MKAC), our programs are grounded in Aboriginal knowledge, community experience and culturally informed practice. We create accessible, high‑quality learning opportunities that support practitioners and organisations to deliver safe, respectful and effective care. Our training is developed and delivered by experienced Aboriginal educators and subject‑matter specialists, ensuring every course reflects cultural integrity, real‑world relevance and community voice. As our library of programs continues to expand, we remain committed to empowering learners with the skills, confidence and understanding needed to engage meaningfully with the communities they serve.

Meet our instructors

Mark Bateman

Cultural Engagement and Partnerships Manager
Mark has worked at MKAC since 2019 and over that period of time has held various positions within the organisation in MKAC's Metal health programs and NDIS support co-ordination. Prior to joining the MKAC team Mark had a varied career in several industries in the Government and private sectors. These include, the military, the mining sector, the energy and transport sectors, community and training.

Annie Young

CEO
Annie Young is a Koorie woman with Wiradjuri and Yorta Yorta family connections who has lived in Western Australia for the past 13 years, With a strong background in leadership, community development, and strategic partnerships, Annie is known for bridging cultural knowledge with emerging technologies. Her work focuses on creating solutions that are not only innovative, but also respectful, inclusive, and community led.
